A wiki has an advantage over a newsgroup or a forum—the wiki is continually improved and updated. In contrast, a forum may briefly excite a huge amount of passionate interest with the consequence that it will wander to untenable length and finally be unusable.

You could:

На сегодняшний день существует большое количество как англоязычных, так и русскоязычных сервисов, позволяющих составлять свои тесты\опросы, выкладывать их в открытый или ограниченный доступ, с легкостью анализировать результаты при помощи сводных таблиц. Вот несколько из них:
Google Forms - на мой взгляд, один из самых лучших ресурсов для проведения всяческих анкетирований и опрос. Удобный и простой в использовании, имеющий все необходимые функции, позволяющий легко проанализировать полученные результаты.
Немножко неудобен в проверке - нужен специальный плагин
MyTextX - позволяет создавать достаточно большие тесты, имеет систему оценивания. Недостаток ресурса - неброский дизайн
Socrative - мобильное приложение, позволяющее создавать опросы и проводить их прямо на занятии. Отличный способ проверить знания группы - можно сравнить результаты.
Обязателен доступ в интернет
https://kahoot.it/ - прекрасный сервис, позволяющий создавать викторины в игровой форме. Отлично подходит для работы с детьми
Twitter - удобен для проведения небольших опросов, например, если нужно узнать мнение учеников или студентов по какому-либо вопросу
А вот глобальную проверку знаний в Твиттере вряд ли удастся сделать

1) Google Документы - сервис позволяет создавать документы, таблицы и презентации. Главное преимущество - возможность совместного использования и редактирования, автоматического преобразования данных. В документах можно создавать комментарии, просматривать историю правок. Имеется доступ в режиме оффлайн. К тому же, есть возможность конвертировать файлы разных форматов. Теперь не нужно пересылать документ по почте на десятки адресов, стоит лишь открыть доступ нужным пользователям один раз. Безусловно, полезный для учебного процесса сервис.

2) Google Почта - практически почта мечты, позволяющая хранить 2Гб информации, сортировать письма по важности и тематике, находить письма, контакты, файлы на Google Диске, мероприятия в Google Календаре и информацию на Google Сайтах, а также отправлять запросы в Google Поиск. 

3)Google Календарь не позволит забыть про важные мероприятия или пропустить обязательные встречи. Это очень удобный инструмент планирования, который доступен с ноутбука, планшета или телефона.  Календарь позволит легко информировать школьников, студентов или преподавателей о любом событии.

4)Google Form - прекрасная возможность контроля знаний. Выбирать вопросы разных типов, менять их последовательность и варианты ответов, проверять результаты с помощью специального плагина - всё это позволяют сделать Google Form.
